The “International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres” was founded in 1957 by Swami Vishnudevananda, sent to the West by Swami Sivananda. First Master who taught Yoga Teachers Training Courses, not with the aim of training Yoga graduates but to facilitate sincere aspirants the means of disciplining their lives, thus becoming transmitters of peace.

Vishnu has been a teacher at the Sivananda Vedanta Schools since 2004. He shares with enthusiasm and service vocation the yoga community, his extensive experience in techniques for stress control and the promotion of positive thinking. He is a full professor of asanas and pranayama in the Sivananda yoga teacher training course held annually in Spain. Its main characteristic, as a teacher, is to transmit to the students that they feel passion with and for the practice.

    Talk “The five points of yoga according to Swami Vishnudevananda”
    . The body is the vehicle for the soul and has specific requirements that must be satisfied to work smoothly and to provide us with optimum mileage. Like any vehicle, it has to be tuned regularly so that it is kept in good working order. The body could be compared metaphorically with a car that needs to operate five instruments:

    – Lubrication,
    – Battery,
    – Refrigeration,
    – Appropriate fuel and
    – Clear mind of a responsible driver at the wheel.
  • Sunday 9th, from 10: 30h to 12: 25h, in the Sala Turia.
    “The twelve basic postures”
    Class
    : Learn to breathe in movement.

    Experience in depth the art of greeting the sun, practicing the twelve basic postures that Swami Vishnudevananda has taught and breathing during the asanas.
    Asanas and pranayama need each other. If we learn to breathe correctly, in the practice of asanas, our body and mind adapt to life more easily. Learn to observe how vital energy circulates while you practice.
