Activities

  • Friday 7th, from 11h to 12h, in the Sala Barraca.
Holotropic Breathing talk: Holotropic breathing is a psychotherapeutic technique developed by psychiatrists Stanislav Grof and Cristina Grof that aims to allow access to non-ordinary states of consciousness. Holotropic breathing is used by practitioners as an approach to self-exploration and healing that integrates introspection from modern research about consciousness, anthropology, transpersonal psychology, Eastern spiritual practices and the mystical traditions of the world. The name “holotropic” means movement towards the totality (from the Greek holos = totality, and tropos = movement in the direction of something). The purpose is to use holotropic breathing as a way of development, healing or self-knowledge and to enter into work with the expanded states of consciousness in a safe, respectful and therapeutic context, with the support of facilitators specifically prepared for the accompaniment in this type of experiences.
  • Saturday 8th, from 11h to 14h, in the Sala Barraca.
Yoga and spirituality talk (Jnana Yoga): It is very common these days to offer Yoga classes that seem to be closer to some kind of gymnastics or balancing exercise than to a Yoga class. It is true that the postures (the so called asanas) have always stood out at first glance. But …, is Yoga all about that?
Shânkara will talk us through the roots of Yoga and the postulates on which it is based.
